KHNVM (Khaa-Nooom)

KHNVM is a death metal band hailing from Bangladesh and Germany formed in 2018. Fronted by Bangladeshi-born Obliterator, the band has quickly made a name for themselves in the death metal scene. Their music is characterized by aggressive vocals, crushing riffs, and blistering drumming.

The band released their debut album, "Foretold Monuments of flesh," on Hamburg-based record label Testimony Records in 2019. The album was met with critical acclaim and solidified KHNVM's place in the death metal scene.

In 2021, KHNVM released their highly anticipated second album, "Portals to Oblivion," on Neckbreaker Records. The album was well-received by fans and critics alike, showcasing the band's growth and maturity as musicians. To support the album, the band embarked on their first Germany tour, the "Ophidian Madness Tour," playing shows across Germany and at famous festivals such as Inflammen Open Air, Masters of the Unicorn, Damned Days, and Metal Attack Fest. KHNVM played their first headlining gig in Wolfsburg. In 2023, they are scheduled to play their first Brazil tour coined as "Heretic Ascension Over Brazil 2023" travelling to 12 cities in 15 day along with local legends like Violator and Headhunter bc.

Despite some difficulties, KHNVM continues to push forward. In 2022, Obliterator had to relocate to Berlin from Magdeburg. He asked for help of session drummer Alex Simpson from the brutal death USA legends Incinerate. They recorded a mini album titled "Visions of a Plague Ridden Sky," consisting of 7 tracks, including 5 face-melting death metal tracks with thought provoking lyrics and 2 instrumental tracks that showcase "Obliterator's" eastern classical influence perfectly blend to set the ambience of the album.

"Visions of a Plague Ridden Sky" by KHNVM is a thought-provoking death metal album that explores multiple philosophical and spiritual concepts through its lyrics and music. The album's themes touch upon the concepts of death, the afterlife, human suffering, existentialism, and spirituality. The album's title itself suggests a dark and ominous atmosphere, and the lyrics of the songs delve deep into the human psyche, exploring the darkest corners of the mind. The album's message is to provoke thought and challenge preconceived notions about the world and our place in it.

The mini album will be released from Neckbreaker Records at the prestigious Protzen Open Air in June 2023. Vinyls were released by Vendetta records on 2024.

MAAT

Maat ist eine Death-Metal-Band aus Berlin, die atmosphärischen Death Metal mit orientalischen Elementen würzt.

Gegründet im November 2009 war MAAT zunächst nur eine Idee der Gitarristen Scaradeus und Felix W, Death Metal mit dem alten Ägypten zu verbinden. Mit der ersten kompletten Besetzung mit Thot am Gesang, Friedel S. am Bass und Hendrik „Tempest“ W. am Schlagzeug nahm MAAT die erste EP „Born In Sand“ auf, die im Oktober 2010 veröffentlicht wurde. Ab 2011 war MAAT immer häufiger auf Clubshows, Support-Gigs und Festivals in Deutschland und Polen unterwegs.

Im April 2013 nahmen MAAT mit „Horus“ am Bass und Alex „Em-Ra“ an der Leadgitarre ihr erstes Album „As We Create The Hope From Above“ in den Soundlodge Studios auf (die auch von Bands wie God Dethroned, Dew Scented, Defeated Sanity und vielen anderen genutzt werden) und veröffentlichten es im Mai 2014, nachdem sie sich entschieden hatten, beim Label Aural Attack Productions zu unterschreiben. In der Zwischenzeit verließ Alex „Em-Ra“ die Band nach den Aufnahmen und wurde für die Gitarre durch „Morguloth“ ersetzt.

Zwei Jahre, eine Deutschlandtour mit Six Feet Under und eine Reihe von Shows und Festivals in 8 verschiedenen Ländern später war es Zeit, das zweite Album aufzunehmen. Also betrat MAAT im Herbst 2015 erneut die Soundlodge Studios, um „Monuments Will Enslave“ aufzunehmen, das im März 2017 ebenfalls von Aural Attack Productions veröffentlicht wurde. In der Zwischenzeit spielte MAAT erneut mehrere Shows und Festivals in 5 verschiedenen Ländern.

Im Februar 2018 beschlossen Gründer Scaradeus und langjähriger Leadsänger Thot, MAAT als Freunde zu verlassen. Für die folgenden Shows in Großbritannien, der Slowakei und Deutschland kamen Rezvelk als Gitarrist und Onuris und Dennis P. als Session- und Live-Sänger hinzu. Neue Songs wurden geschrieben, begleitet von Fragen über die Zukunft von maat ohne den Gründer.

Ende 2020 beschloss der langjährige Schlagzeuger Tempest, MAAT zu verlassen, um sich auf private Themen und seine Familie zu konzentrieren, blieb aber weiterhin Freund, Berater und Designer der Band. Glücklicherweise schlossen sich der hochtalentierte Schlagzeuger Björn Schellinger, alias Sokar, und der Sänger Phil Arlt, alias Baal, kurzfristig an, um die Besetzung wieder zu vervollständigen. Im Jahr 2022 beschlossen MAAT und Horus, getrennte Wege zu gehen. Thyros, als Freund von Baal, kam sofort dazu, um die Besetzung für die erste MAAT-Show nach der Pandemie auf dem Swampfest Berlin zu vervollständigen.

Nach Abschluss des Songwritings und der Vorproduktion betrat MAAT 2023 zum dritten Mal die Soundlodge Studios, um das lang erwartete dritte Album „From Origin To Decay“ zu produzieren, und unterschrieb beim Label FDA Records, um es 2024 zu veröffentlichen.
